Elliptical Reviews Under $1,000

Moving up a bit in price makes a big difference with elliptical trainers. This catergory has a couple of good value buys and you get so much more for your money. You still can’t expect full gym quality here, but we are definitely getting closer.

These machines will suit most casual users who want a decent workout.

A this price range under $1,000 you can expect :

  • Better build quality
  • Better, smoother ride
  • More resistance levels
  • More features
  • Longer stride length
  • More advanced programs

You can definitely get a genuine elliptical workout from some of these machines and with the improved quality, you can use them more vigorously and more frequently than some cheaper models.

My Top Picks Under $1,000

Proform 14.0 RE

Proform 14.0 RE

This machine stands out because it has a high quality Rear Drive mechanism - and it is from Proform. Seriously, a rear drive elliptical for this kind of money is unbelievable! This model will give you a really good quality workout - better than some models in a much higher price bracket.

It has a few less features than the top end ellipticals and a few less programs - but the drive quality compares very well.

Sole E25

This model from Sole Fitness is a good machine in its own right. At this price range it has good features and will give you that genuine elliptical feel during training. The only thing I would say is that the Sole E35 is a better machine and costs only a couple of hundred bucks more - I would urge anyone to go that little bit further. If you must stay to a tighter budget - then this one is still worth considering.

Proform have a couple of very good value home elliptical machines in this price bracket. Of note is the Endurance 720 E - a front drive model with a lot of great features adding to the value - and the Smart Strider 935. Again, another very good value trainer from a highly regarded maker.

Lots of choice in the sub $1000 range!

These machines are significantly better than the ones you’ll find priced under$500 – but if you can go to the next level, $1,000 – $2,000 you are into the most popular price bracket with elliptical trainers to suit almost all levels of use. For the more adventurous budget – check out machines over $2,000 , something to aspire to!
