Elliptical Machine Reviews $1000 – $2000
Elliptical trainers in this price range are the most popular. Once you go over the $1,000 mark you take a huge step closer to gym type machines. Quality overall is better, as you would expect, but the big difference is the ride smoothness.
Resistance mechanisms are better quality and made to offer greater difficulty if needed, and to last longer. Machines in this range are made to last and withstand long periods of regular use great for the more serious elliptical user.
You also get a lot more in terms of features – more resistance levels, pre set programs, adjustable incline plus things like fans and MP3 connectivity. Don’t be sold on little extras – the ride quality is the most important thing to consider when evaluating an elliptical review.
My Top Picks Under $2000
Sole E 95
This elliptical from Sole Fitness is an absolute gem - and It is not just me who thinks this - it has received glowing reviews from users for the last few years. It is still the quality machine to beat in this price bracket.
The ride quality and the extra features make this one quite special - the price makes it great value. The top seller in this market.

Yowza Captiva
Yowza make fantastic elliptical trainers and the Captiva is their model in this range. With this machine you get to experience a top end machine with loads of quality features and a Yowza ride!
No mistake, this is a good value buy and it competes very well at this sort of price range. The only consideration is can you stretch a little bit more out of your budget and go for the Yowza Islamorada? It sells for just a bit more but it is worth it in my opinion. Either way both these trainers have rave reviews and you will not be disappointed.

Octane Q35
Octane have quietly developed a reputation for full featured, quality ellipticals that don't break the bank. Their Q35 is the best value machine in my opinion and offers many of the great features shared by more expensive models. The ride quality is superb and their compact design makes it ideal for smaller homes and limited space.

You might notice an absence of the top elliptical company Precor in this list. I'm afraid it is because they don't have any machines under $2k - for that you need to step up further.

You will definitely notice the difference in smoothness and general quality in this price range, compared to ellipticals under $500 and under $1,000. With elliptical machines, you do get what you pay for and the majority of people will be happy with ellipticals between $1,000 and $2,000 – of course the prices do keep on going!
Check out the next level – $2,000 Plus Ellipticals – even just to window shop and see what is available.
Do you really need to spend more? Maybe – it depends on the level of use you are planning.
